  • How do I contact you for inquiries and reservations?
    Before Reservation For inquiries before making a reservation, please contact us via the Inquiry Form in the "Contact US" section of our homepage. After a Confirmed Reservation has Already Been Made As we currently only take reservations for Miyabi Guesthouse through Airbnb, after a reservation has already been made, please use the Enquiry channel provided by AirBnB for any questions or concerns prior to your stay with us.
  • Can I book directly with you, or make a reservation using a method other than Airbnb?
    For the time being, in order to centralize our booking process, we only take bookings via Airbnb.
  • How many months in advance can I make a reservation?
    Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance. Please check the Airbnb Calendar for Availability.
  • Does the accommodation fee change depending on the number of guests?
    The entire house will be reserved for private use (i.e. limited to one booking/group per day) for a fixed fee. The accommodation fee is the same for one person as it is up to a maximum of 5 people.
  • Can I get on a waitlist for cancellations on my preferred dates?
    Reservations are first-come, first-serve. There is no waiting list for cancellations. Please check the AirBnB Calendar regularly for potential cancelations or openings on specific preferred dates.
  • Can I change the date(s) of my booking?
    Changes to reservations, if applicable, are subject to Availability and the Terms and Conditions with AirBnB. Please contact AirBnB directly for enquiries.
  • Is there any charge for cancellations?
    Cancellations to reservations, if applicable, are subject to the Terms and Conditions via AirBnB. Please process cancellations direcly through AirBnB for confirmed reservations. For reference, our Terms for for Cancellations is a full refund up to to 30 days prior to the first day of the booking, after which time customers are required to pay 100% of the cost of the booking for cancellations.
  • What time is check-in/check-out?
    Check-in is anytime after 3:00pm and check-out is before 11:00am. We ask that guests ensure they adhere to the check-out time as cleaning needs to be carried out for the next guest. Please note that once the check-out deadline has passed, the lock code will automatically become invalid and you will be charged an Extension Fee.
  • Can I check in early?
    As a general rule, check-in is any time after 15:00. However, if there is no guest the preceding night, it MAY be possible - with prior approval - for a earlier check-in time to be accommodated. In any case, guests MUST contact us in advance if they wish to arrange an early check-in. However, if cleaning and disinfection work has been completed, we may allow check-in before the check-in time (early check-in), so if you wish, please contact us using the contact method for each reservation site.
  • Can I check out late?
    Please be aware that check-out time is before 11:00am
  • Do you offer daily cleaning of the guesthouse?
    Cleaning and full disinfection are done after a guest checks-out. Guests will be responsible for their own cleaning and upkeep (emptying trash, washing dishes, etc.) during their stay. *Vacuum cleaners, cleaning tools, etc. are all provided and available for guests to use freely.
  • Can you change the linens (bed sheets, pillow covers) and towels?
    As a general rule, bed linens and towel sets are provided based on the number of guests and the length of stay. For guests staying one week or more, bed linens (bed sheets and pillow covers) will be changed once per week. For bath towels, guests may wash these themselves in the washing machine + dryer (laundry liquid provided) as-needed.
  • When is garbage collected?
    Waste bins are provided within the guesthouse as well as larger trash & recycle bins outside the guesthouse. We do not offer trash pickup, guests are requested to maintain the cleanliness inside the guesthouse during their stay, including emptying the garbage bins and taking out the trash & recyclables as-needed (Recyclables should be separated into "burnable trash", plastics, and cans + glass bottles).
  • Can you also collect large trash?
    The trash cans in the 1st floor kitchen and the 2nd floor bedroom is only for burnable garbage. There are two large trash bins next to the deck on the outside of the guesthouse where guests can dispose of other, larger items as well as recyclables [bottles, cans, plastic].
  • Can I smoke inside the Guesthouse?
    Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Guesthouse (this includes electronic cigarettes or vapes). Smoking outside the guesthouse, including anywhere on the MIYABI Guesthouse property is also prohibited. *Please note that we take this policy very seriously. Guests found to be smoking/have been smoking inside the guesthouse will be charged a penalty of 50,000 yen PER DAY of stay and asked to leave. Nos refunds will be given.
  • Can I bring my pet?
    We do not allow pets except in the case of assistance/service dogs.
  • Can you issue a receipt?
    Receipts, if needed, can be issued by AirBnB after payment has been processed. Please visit AirBnB for instructions.
  • Is there a parking lot?
    Free parking for up to two vehicles is available on site.
  • Is there a bicycle parking lot (for bicycles)?
    Bicycle parking is available on the premises.
  • Do you provide FREE Wi-Fi?
    Miyabi Guesthouse provides a dedicated (to the guesthouse-only) Hi-speed Wi-Fi [up to 50Mbps upload & 150Mbps download speeds] included in the rental fee.
  • Is the Wi-Fi shared with anyone else?
    Dedicated Wi-Fi for the Guesthouse guests ONLY.
  • How far are you from Kanazawa Station?
    Miyabi Guesthouse is only a 30-35 minute drive from Kanazawa Station.
  • How far are you from Komatsu Airport?
    Miyabi Guesthouse is only a 25-30 minute drive from Komatsu International Airport.
  • Do you have a plan that includes breakfast?
    Breakfast is not currently available. Miyabi Guesthouse features a full kitchen, including a toaster, cooking pots + pans, a rice cooker, etc., so please feel free to use them. There are various local restaurants + cafes in the area, however as we are in the countryside their opening hours tend to be a bit hit or miss. Please ask us for recommendations - we've tried them all!
  • Can we use the BBQ?
    Guests may make use of the BBQ on the back patio during daylight hours and into the EARLY evening. We ask that guests respect the fact that we live there and noise should be kept to a minimum.
  • Are there any Onsen (hot springs) nearby?

  • Where is the nearest supermarket or convenience store?
    There is a Genki supermarket and two Konbini just a short 5-minute drive away. A Coop Tedori store 5 minutes by car | Business hours: 9:00-19:30 Genki Hakusancho store 5 minutes by car | Business hours: 9:00-21:00 Lawsons + 7-Eleven 5 minutes by car | Open 24 hours JA Hakusan Farmers Market 15 minutes by car | Business hours: 9:00-19:00 Irregular holidays (also open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) *This is a large, popular shop that sells farm-fresh vegetables, fruits, rice, fresh fish, flowers (cut flowers and potted plants), and other daily necessities, and is popular among shoppers from Kanazawa.
  • What happens if I break something?
    Things get broken occassionally. It’s life, we get it. However, If a customer seriously damages any household items or equipment, we ask that you let us know promptly and honestly. Please note that guests are liable for damages beyond “normal wear and tear”, and will be charged accordingly depending on the item that is broken or damaged. Please also note that we take inventory between each new guest’s stay and any items that are found to be missing will also be charged back to the guest accordingly.
  • Can I make a reservation on the same day?
    We do not accept same-day reservations via AirBnB, however if there is a vacancy, we MAY be able to accommodate you, please contact us directly.
  • Can I use the wood-burning stove?
    Yes, however we have strict rules in place which guests MUST agree and adhere to in order to use the wood-burning stove. Please see our AirBnB listing for the detailed House Rules on fireplace/wood-burning stove use.
  • I plan to go by public transportation (bus or train). Is there a shuttle service?
    There is no “shuttle service” to Miyabi Guesthouse, however it is possible to take the local train from Kanazawa Station to Tsurugi station, which is only a 10 minute drive from the guesthouse, where guests who do not have their own car can take a taxi. Likewise, we recommend the best option from Komatsu airport is taxi – or better – to arrange your own car hire during your intended stay.
  • Can you assist with any special requests?
    We are eager to assist wherever possible and will consider special requests on a case-by-case basis – just ask us!
